Parents,

Forgive me for posting this so late in the day. I just wanted to remind you to look in your child’s folder tonight. We are starting our reading logs. I sent every child home with a book to read tonight. Your child needs to record the date and the title of the book on the reading log. Then please initial the log showing that your child read tonight. As the pink letter states, there is a chance that the book sent home is too hard or too easy for your child. Please be patient with me as I am learning each of my students and assessing their reading levels. Feel free to document on the reading log if the book was too hard or too easy. Thank you for your understanding as we get started with our reading logs and while I am taking time to assess each child so I will know exactly where each one is at this time.
